Walt Disney World Monorail
Backround-Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower
The Walt disney World Monorail system is one of the initial transit systems in all of Walt Disney World. The Monorail line opened up in 1971, and was expaned in 1982 to include commuters from the Ticket and Transit center to Epcot park. The monorail goes through Epcot, with a great veiw of the geodesic dome, and all of the other attractions at Epcot, including scenery at Epcot. There are 2 monorail lines, one that goes through Epcot as I just stated, and one that goes to Magic Kingdom, and all of the resorts in that certain area including the Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, and literally goes through the Contemporarty resort. Each hotel has its own
themed station for the monorail, that goes
along with its hotel. The monorail system
has 12 cars, a Red, Coral, Orange, Gold, Yellow,
Lime, Green, Blue, Silver, Black, Teal, and Peach
car. This system is very crucial to Disney World,
Because over 50 Million passengars ride this
monorail system each year. This system is
also very reliable, because only one fatal
accident happened in 2009, where a switch in
the Epcot line had a malfunction, and two cars
collided, killing one pilot. The cars used, were the
Purple, and Pink cars. Disney used good parts
from these cars to make the peach car. Don't be scared, because another crash happening is extremely rare. Disney runs tests each day, and getting the cars extremely close to each other, to test the autobrakes. These monorails can also be unreliable, because they stop alot. They do have quite a few problems, and you might experience one of these. Here is a picture of a monorail being towed due to a breakdown.

Interior of monorail car emptyish
You will almost always have people in the car, and this is the best I could do. This is even harder, because it is during the Christmas season.
